Technology
Modeled after the human brain, Haileo's core technology crawls, learns and categorizes millions of the Web's objects and their unique visual relationships. Having aggregated and linked these visual relationships with other related visual, audio, and textual signals, the Haileo Visual Engine then groups and identifies the objects and signals as specific products (e.g., "Juicy Couture bag" or "Anna Sui gown") and the products into intent categories (e.g., "accessories and handbags" or "women's fashion"). At this point, the Haileo Engine can process any video or image input from a consumer, use its pre-computed "brain" to generate a summary of the user's intention, and then use the style detection algorithm to match perfectly targeted merchandise to both the user's input and the content and context of the user's browsing environment. Haileo's technology is unique in that its automated engine expands as it processes data, does not rely on human intervention for learning, and is fully scalable to the size of the Web.Haileo's services are in production or pilot with several prominent commerce companies.
